Lightner Creek

Great sandstone bouldering just outside of town. Head west on highway 160 and turn right into Lightner Creek (CR 207) drive to the junction of CR 207 and CR 208. Turn right on to CR 208 and drive 105 miles and park on the side of the road. This area is part of the Perins Peak State Wildlife Area. It is part of a seasonal closure. The West side of the road is closed from 11/15 thru 3/31 and the East side of the road up Dry Fork is closed 11/15 thru 7/15 for wildlife sanctuary.

  1. Exact directions to the bouldering: Drive W on 160 out of town for about 3.5 miles; turn right on Lightner Creek Rd and drive 1.1 to 208 (dirt road) ; take a right on 208. All the bouldering is located on this road. Milage starts at the cluster of mail boxes and 208 sign.
